Composition and Pharmacological Properties:

The medicinal product БАРС® insecticidal and acaricidal drops are produced:

For dogs: per 1 ml contains active substances:

•Fipronil – 150 mg

•Cyfluthrin – 5 mg

•Piperonyl butoxide – 1 mg

•Diflubenzuron – 1 mg

Excipients: isopropyl alcohol and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.

The product has pronounced contact insecticidal and acaricidal as well as repellent activity. It is active against larval and adult stages of fleas, lice, ixodid, sarcoptic, and trombidiid ticks parasitizing dogs. It prevents attacks from blood-sucking dipterous insects (flies, mosquitoes, midges, gnats).

•Fipronil belongs to the phenylpyrazole group of insecticides. Its mechanism affects chloride channels (particularly GABA-dependent) and glutamate-gated chloride channels in invertebrates, blocking pre- and postsynaptic chloride ion transmission, causing uncontrolled CNS activity and parasite death.

•Cyfluthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid with contact insecticidal and repellent action, blocking nerve impulse transmission, causing coordination loss, paralysis, and death of insects upon first contact.

•Piperonyl butoxide is a pyrethroid synergist that blocks detoxifying enzymes, enhances pyrethroid penetration, and accelerates paralysis and parasite death.

•Diflubenzuron is a chitin synthesis inhibitor, disrupting molting and reproduction of larvae, resulting in non-viable forms and population control.

After topical application, the active substances spread evenly on the animal’s body surface, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands, providing long-lasting contact insecticidal and repellent effects.

Effectiveness:

•Single treatment kills fleas within 24 hours; ixodid ticks and lice within 48 hours.

•Protection against ixodid ticks lasts up to 4 weeks, against fleas, lice, and Cheyletiella up to 8 weeks.

•Repellent effect against blood-sucking dipterous insects lasts up to 7 days.

Storage:

Store in the manufacturer’s sealed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, at 5°C–30°C, out of reach of children.

Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture. Do not use after expiration.

Packaging:

1 pipette-dropper (sizes for dogs up to 10 kg, 10–20 kg, 20–40 kg, 40–60 kg) or 4 pipettes per pack (for dogs), with instructions and veterinary passport stickers.
